The Power Genius is the proper solution for constant speed/variable load applications. Savings are especially good if the motor often operates at low load factors, long duty cycles and if energy costs are high and/or rising.

2. Estimate Your Savings

Note: Different motor makes, vintages, frame sizes and rewind history may affect the energy savings performance of the Power Genius(tm)

3. Estimate Your Payback

To estimate your annual energy cost savings, follow this simple calculation

• Estimate annual average power consumption for your specific application in watts and divide by 1000 (yields the application’s kilowatts of power per year)
• Multiply the application’s kilowatts of power per year by the percent savings you estimate from the table (yields the number of kilowatts saved per year)
• Multiply the number of kilowatts saved per year by your cost per kilowatt hour of electricity (yields the value of energy saved in one year)
• Divide your investment in the Power Genius™ by the value of energy saved in one year (yields payback period in years)

Other savings may include:

• Lowered demand charges on your power bill
• Reduced motor repair and replacement costs
• Excessive contactor pad replacement costs
• Air conditioning and other cooling costs if motor is located in climate-controlled facility
